| Details : | During the operations against Pakistan in December, 1971, Sergeant Rathinasabapathy Kanniah served with the Air Delivery Flight that airlifted vitally needed spares from different equipment depots to forward air bases. Inspite of the fact that he had to fly for long hours daily most of the time landing late at night, he was always cheerful and was a source of inspiration to the other crew members. It was largely due to him that the tasks assigned to the Air Delivery Flight were successfully completed. Throughout, Sergeant Rathinasabapathy Kanniah displayed courage, professional skill and devotion to duty. | ||||
